1983: Female Address Music Video

The most interesting thing that I read was that the two videos were written to empower women, I had already known that the target audience was the late teen female audience but I had never known what the songs were trying to say. I think that the incorporation of parents in both videos was also interesting as I wouldn't have thought that parents had anything to do with the songs based on the lyrics. I think that "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" had the strongest message because I have seen and heard the same story before and the parents were incorporated in the video a little bit better. Also "Love is a Battlefield" has a strong double meaning with actually talking about love and talking about the complicated relationships between men and women. My video ("They Don't Really Care About Us" by Michael Jackson) is a song standing up against prejudice but it can also be thought that Jackson didn't want his lyrics heard just wanted to put his thoughts out there. These videos made  me think that the lyrics alone do not tell the story of the song but rather the two together.
