A show that I watch frequently is Entourage on HBO. If you do not watch the show, it is about a famous movie star and his three best friends. In almost every episode there are advertisements as they often make sure to show off the logos of the companies the characters wear, use ect. For example there is an episode where the movie star buys his friends and him all brand new Aston Martin cars. There is another episode where they have his birthday party sponsored by Sky Vodka. By advertising the companies they are trying to reach a young adult age group, close to the age of the main characters. By having these celebrities use their products they want people the think that they will look equally as famous and wealthy if they buy their products.
The show depicts the life styles of famous actors and celebrities and tries to give people a behind the scenes looks at the lives of the “rich and famous.”
